My final essay for my MA designed and bound into a hardcover book, my idea for the monograph's design was to relate my MA experience to Joseph Campbell's Monomyth. Where the protagonist goes through a journey or challenge, that causes a personal transformation.
I created illustrations to sit opposite chapter headings, which related to mythology to emphasize the Monomyth theming. I designed the illustrations on Adobe Illustrator and did the layout design on InDesign, the cover design was pressed with a magnesium plate and I handbound the book at MMU's book-binding workshop.
